The Certified Reliability Engineer does not require prior knowledge of reliability engineering; a basic technical understanding is helpful. The expert trainings can be booked independently; prior knowledge in the relevant subject area is recommended.

The foundation training covers the fundamentals of reliability engineering. The Expert Trainings focus on testing, life data analysis and design of experiments. Full details are available on the relevant programme pages.

Yes. The foundation training has no fixed schedule. You can work through the content at your own pace during the access period.

The learning platform includes an internal forum for technical discussion with other participants.

The course content is reviewed by subject-matter experts and updated when necessary. Updates are available automatically while your access is active.

After booking, you will receive a personal account for the learning platform. It contains your learning videos, exercises, knowledge checks, course materials and, depending on the programme, the online exam.

You can use the learning platform with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari on PC, laptop, tablet and smartphone.

You only need a current browser to use the learning platform. Minitab is required for exercises in some programmes; this is stated explicitly on the relevant programme pages. A trial licence is sufficient for the foundation training.

Yes. The learning platform is optimised for mobile devices. For extensive exercises and working with additional software, we recommend a PC or laptop.

Learning videos are streamed through the learning platform and are not available offline. The accompanying course materials are available as digital documents.

After passing the online exam, you will receive the certificate for your programme, such as the Certified Reliability Engineer qualification.

The Certified Reliability Engineer certificate is issued in cooperation with the University of Stuttgart. For Expert Trainings, the respective expert qualification is listed on the programme page.

The exam takes place online through the learning platform. The format and requirements are explained on the relevant programme page.

You can retake the exam up to twice. Before another attempt, we recommend reviewing the relevant content carefully.

While your access is active, you can download the certificate as a PDF from the learning platform. After that, you can ask us to send it again.

The certificate confirms successful completion of the programme and can be used as evidence in internal professional development processes.
